INSPIRATION

In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel turned to Ernest Beaux to create a womans perfume that knows about women, rare and intense. The perfumer proposes a visionary composition that foresees an unprecedented use of aldehydes. Mademoiselle prefers the number 5 version of the fragrance and, by its name, chooses this simple number. For this new composition, it adopts an extreme flask, adorned with a white label and a faceted cabochon. In 1986, Jacques Polge, nose of CHANEL since 1978, reinterprets the olfactory composition of his predecessor to give life to a larger version of N ° 5: the Eau de Parfum.
